Privacy Policy

How we use

Information is used strictly to deliver the site, improve the editorial product and send the newsletter when a reader opts in. We do not sell data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not build profiles for third parties.

Aggregated analytics help us understand which comparison tables are useful and which never get read. Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe with one click; the unsubscribe timestamp is retained for 24 months for audit purposes only.

What we collect

On every visit the server stores standard web-server data: IP address, user agent, timestamp and the requested URL. When a reader subscribes to our newsletter we also store the email address and the confirmation timestamp.

The server does not store cookies on the first visit until the reader has clicked the consent banner. If consent is declined, no analytics cookie is written and the newsletter form is replaced by a one-off email link.

Third parties

We rely on a small list of processors: a cloud host for the site, a mailing service for the newsletter, and an analytics tool for aggregated reports. All processors operate under EU-level data-protection agreements.

We do not run display advertising on the site, so no advertising networks are involved. The affiliate link that opens the operator's registration page is served from legenddrop.org/go-now/, not from a third-party tracker.

Security

Access to logs and the newsletter database is restricted to two editors and protected by two-factor authentication. Backups are encrypted and stored in EU data centres only.

All connections are TLS-protected. Passwords for the editorial CMS are stored as argon2id hashes. Any data breach would be reported to the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta within 72 hours of detection.
